album cover for the film soundtrack, Cambodian rock stars of the sixties are shown in a cover meant to emulate albums of the era, with bright neon pink, teal and yellow accenting, in the owed corner a soldier indicates what's to comeGuys, seriously, I want to see Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten: Cambodia’s Lost Rock And Roll right now. It’s not streaming, it’s not on dvd, it’s only available via a film festival tour. (I hate film festivals.)

I consoled myself by buying the soundtrack, which is exceptional. How did I not know about pre-war Cambodian rock prior to this? I recommend just buying a copy as well. If you’re on the fence, check out this track by Ros Serey Sothea.

This Bakesy Cham Krong instrumental would make Dick Dale weep. It made me weep because it loads a commercial before it plays.

We’ve got to get on this Khmer rock thing. Like, yesterday.
